After more than a year of showcasing some of the most unique Australian gins, we realised that there was still a gin style that we were missing – that of a barrel aged type!

And so, for this month’s CG Gin Club feature we’ve partnered up with our good friends from Finders Distillery, who were kind enough to pre-release their long-awaited Pedro Ximenez Sherry Barrel Aged Gin exclusively to CG Gin Co. & the members of our monthly gin club throughout May. Same as with their previous (and well loved) barrel aged gin releases, it started with a gin especially designed for aging. Featuring juniper, cassia bark, orris root and wattle seed, which is the perfect starting place for great flavour to come. It was then enriched by the history of the barrel, which in this particular case came from the ex Pedro Ximenez Sherry cask, which have added a delightful nutty, caramalised flavour to the gin. Slightly sweet with hints of dried fruit & spice layered over the pine and cinnamon notes. To top it off (and as is the case with most barrel aged gins) it is one for those who like a bit of heat, too, sitting at 46.1% ABV!
